I've tried accupuncture, chiropractic, massage, pt (and getting ready to go again as soon as Group Health approves), dietary changes, life changes, and meds - both OTC and Scripted
I've also worked on relaxation techniques (some of which have actually made things worse --- cramping muscles that just do not like the relaxing effect which then trigger immediate head pain)....

Please only respond if you have words of advice or able to share something you have found to be helpful.

Shutting lights off, sleeping, etc only helps for so long - it used to do the trick
Ice triggers more pain - muscle cramping and burning -- often turns up the volume on nausea and if Iwasnt already vomiting it sure is guaranteed with ice.

Warm showers help but the effects are very short lived.

So I think about how she was conceived. I guess someone who had a dog wanted to see cute puppies. Wanted their dog to experience motherhood. Wanted to make a little extra money the "easy way." And in doing so passed on this auto immune disease to my dog. I imagine the person never considered the puppies future as anything but how healthy their own dog looked on the outside. How cute she looked. Tail wags, nose is cold, and tongue kisses so that is a great dog to breed?

When I imagine how my dog was conceived, I imagine that person never considered that I would be eating canned sardines nightly for dinner to save enough money for the thousands I spend a week on my dog. Or that someone would love this dog who came into her life at the right time and saved her life, now only for her to watch her dog die, not able to return the favor no matter what she does. My dog's genes are against her. Her body attacks itself.

By the way, she is 4 years old.
She has been seen by 8 vets if you want to include the emergency one. They are the best I could find around here. Vets do not vaccinate sick dogs. And she eats a raw food diet, but we have also tried homecooked. Her meat is organic and free ranged. Last I heard, Peta was against all breeding, not just breeding without genetic health tests so no I am not a member of peta.
