Severe pain between shoulders?

One day I looked down at the ground and it suddenly felt like someone had stabbed me between my shoulder blades with a sharp knife. It was so bad I had to lye down for several days and it took weeks for the pain to finally subside. A few months later I was getting out of bed and it happened again. I was prescribed muscle relaxers and horse pills of ibuprofen and again, ended up in bed a few days but recouperated a little faster with the meds. This symptom now occurs every 2 or 3 months. I'm in my 20s and have had numerous MRI scans and x-rays without finding anything structurally damaged. I almost feel like a tore a muscle and ever since it just retears itself. People tell me that's not really anatomically correct. I used to do a lot of computer work but have since quit. I have had deep tissue massage, done loads of PT, and have even had deep-tissue laser therapy, rolfing, osteopathy, and am now trying acupuncture. Am I crazy or does this sound like a ridiculous back problem? My doctor's now looking into "facet joint syndrome" but I'm beginning to think this problem's just not going to go away. I don't do an ounce of physical labor! And I'm young!! Oh, and I've seen several chiropractors only to discover that thoracic adjustments make the problem worse.

Hip bursitis? been to doc several times?

Ok, to anyone who has had hip bursitis or has successfully treated hip bursitis. i don't wanna hear: go to Doc or don't run please! I have been a runner for a year . 2 months ago, i started having a pain in my hip/groin. after two visits ti the Doc, he poked around and said it was Hip bursitis. told me to lay off and see how I felt. I ran a couple of times once the pain left (after about a week) and the pain came back. He gave me a cortisone shot. two weeks, no pain. tried running a few time, after third time, pain came back. Gave me script for anti-inflm, been three weeks, no real pain. went running several time, shorter runs, today a slight twinge, pain with digital pressure. The doc has basically said, Don't run. Which can be fine in the short term, but i have been training for something and giving up running longterm is NOT an option. Has anyone had any luck with any other tx? acupuncture? laser? I'll do whatever I need as long as I can return to training soon.
what I meant was, "if has anyone had similar problem and was able to go back to running, i would want to hear from them, if all you were going to say was don't run, then don't bother." I've known differnet docs to have different opinions and I was asking for differnet opinions

Does potassium really cure warts?

I've had warts since I can remember, and I've tried everything: acupuncture, formaline. some random cream, tons of OTC remedies such as wart off and wartner. I've also tried physically cutting them out myself (that doesnt work).
I guess the only things I havent tried are laser and liquid nitrogen to burn the warts off. However, i asked my doctor about those two treatments and he said they weren't worth the damage it could do, and they weren't the answer, so I did a little research.

I found some articles about banana skin being applied to the warts, something about the Potassium from the banana peals killing the warts. I also read that a guy crushed Potassium pills instead of using a banana peal and applied that to his warts.
I was just wondering, does this really work? I'm just desperate for an answer, I've tried everything and nothing works.

Thanks,
Vasta

PS: sorry it was long

Which Alternative/Complementary Therapy?

I have been suffering with depression and anxiety for a long time and been on medication but it hasn't relieved all the symptoms, I have been in and out of counselling and am still very tense and stressed, I sleep in the fetal position and get a lot of tension and pain in my back and neck; I have a very short temper still. I have a lot of problem with energy and relaxation as well as self control and connecting with my body. I took an online chakra test and found all but one of my chakras are under-active. I used to be bullied but i cant remember what happened so i must have repressed it. I need to get on with my life and scientific medicine hasn't helped I think my spirit needs healing.

Treating Achilles tendinitis, do I have any options left?

In november 2007 I woke up one day and my ankle was in a lot of pain and was swollen even though I did absolutely nothing to it. After a week of not getting any better I went to a doctor and they referred me to a podiatrist. He determined I had achilles tendinitis and told me to go to physio. I did, and it didn't get better. He told me to get orthotics and to wear an aircast for 2 months. I did, and it didn't get any better. I had an mri done and all it showed was achilles tendinitis, so my podiatrist told me there was nothing more he could do if thats all it was. I have tried going to 3 different physio therapists who did things like acupuncture and massage. I had laser therapy done. I got a night splint. And NOTHING worked, so this past february I had to do what was my final resort - surgery. The surgeon said I had super tight leg muscles, so he operated on my gastrocnemius muscle and shaved down all of my tendon inflammation hoping that that would help my pain, and IT DIDN'T WORK! Everyone I go to to get help just gets frustrated with me like its my fault that its not getting better! It has ruined my life - i quit my job, i took a year off of school, I have gained so much weight from being forced to sit all the time, and I am just in pain allllll the time - no painkillers help. I honestly don't know what to do now, is there any treatments left for me to try? I can't live with this.

Will a cortisone injection help fix/relieve a bulging disc?

I am a 16 year old female competitive figure skater and in September/07 I was diagnosed with a bulging disc at L4-L5 - and to make things worse, doctors say I have a hyper-mobile spine. I have been to 3 doctors, 4 physiotherapists, osteopaths, and chiropractors. I have had an MRI, x-ray, and bone scan and I have been treated with acupuncture, massage therapy, laser therapy, ultra sound, TENS therapy, osteopathy, physio, physio, and more physio....
NOTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING!
my doctor then suggested to get a cortisone injection to get rid of some inflammation - however there is no proof that there is any inflammation there.
I have also previously tried to get rid of some inflammation/pain with Advil, Tylenol, and 3 medications!!!
I've used heat & ice and I wear a back brace on a regular bases.

If anyone has ANY advice i would REALLY appreciate it.

I'm worried about the effects of the cortisone injection!
any advice? experiences? are there guaranteed results with cortisone? help!

what could be wrong with my lower back?

I am almost a professional dancer so I train a lot every day. I had shin splints for the last two years and I tried everything stretching, strenghtening, acupuncture, electro, laser and vaccum therapy,... and nothing helped. so yesterday my shin splints got really bad, i was acually the worst ever so I decided to see the school's physio to get it checked. and what he found was that I have an old injury in my lower back, which would explain my recent problems with ishias. something is wrong with discus L4/L5, which might be causing my shin splints. all he could tell me is that it's not discus hernia. so I need to get an x-ray now so we can see what is going on with my back, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what could this be??
