I am going to an acupuncturist and I am bit concerned about the needles the place? I understand that they puncture the skin, and I am afraid of scarring? I know it may seem odd, but that's the only fear I have about this. I truly believe in it even though I have never had it, but I just want to clarify the needle problem...

I'm seeing an acupuncturist for my plantar fasciitis. When should I expect to feel results?
Plantar Fasciitis: http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/plantar-fasciitis-topic-overview
I have done the toe-flex thing, as well as icing it, rolling my heel on a golf ball a rolling pin and a frozen bottle of water. I have a night splint that I wear and I'm constantly stretching my foot through-out the day. I've been at this for several months and have decided to think outside the box and try something different.
I'm also wearing a shoe insert that supports my arch and has a padded heel cushion. I also recently bought a new pair of athletic shoes that were properly fitted.

Woke up at 3am with burning in right side under ribs. Freezing cold in a warm house, shivering. The burning has been there before but not so bad. Never shivered like that. No fever though. Need to see a doctor but don't want to get sliced and diced. Want to try natural route but not confident in diagnosis in absence of modern tests.
Update: My visit to a Western doctor provided no answers of any kind. He pretty much shrugged and told me to come back on Saturday for some tests. Is it just me or do doctors today seem clueless? I keep getting "It's non-specific" bs answers when I ask questions. People around me get the same thing too.

drank that Lipton diet citrus green tea drink and now he thinks he is drinking the BEST thing he can drink. I know that the acupuncturist meant actual "green tea" from the tea bag, and NOT a pre-bottled processed green tea with all kinds of additives, not to mention aspartame. Who is right here, my friend who is drinking the pre-bottled Lipton diet citrus green tea or me? [I say the best green tea is the tea from tea bags and not pre-bottled "green tea" with additives and aspartame.] Thank you!!
