11 months of severe spinal pain. 2 doctors, 2 ortho docs, 2 PT's, 2 MRI's, 2 docs at the spine clinic, lots of drugs (neurontin, relafen, flexeril), even acupuncture. My back wont heal, I woke up one day and my muscles were swollen, near my cervical spine (C6), I have been trying to rebuild the muscles, but they are always being pinched. I have good ergo, I am taking vitamen D, all the supplements, and my doc says I have a mild disc bulge. I have INSTABILITY, in my SPINE and SHOULDERS now. Its so painful everyday, I also feel like I have degenerative disc problem, but its just from the spine instability I think. Basically Im not healing, I dont have fiberomyalgia (just got checked). Now my doc is trying to send me to a pain specialist BUT, WHYY!! I dont want to know how to manage my pain, I want to know what is WRONG. I dont know what the underlying problem is. I HATE KAISER. Im a 29 year old female, and have been in NO accidents (well 2 small ones, but they couldnt have caused this 5 years later), and this is NOT from an injury. I just woke up one day (I had gotten laid off of my job, and was very stressed at that point) and ever since my back went from having swelling, to consistent swelling, to having an instable spine, to having instable shoulders, partial bursitis in both shoulders with a snapping scapula and this pain has been consistent for 11 months now. Kaiser has no answers for me, and my doctor will not give me another MRI (both MRI's and X-rays show nothing, except for a minor disc bulge at C-6)
Is there any doctor or person that has experienced this? I am so desperate for help, I have insurance, but all of my doctors do not know what to do and I am tired of taking all of these drugs, its not good for me. I want to thank you in advance for your help, and I apologize for not spell checking this before I post, my back is just killing me sitting on this computer. Oh, and I'd also like to say that Ive been to the chiropracter as well, but I had to stop, it was really expensive (my insurance didnt cover it) and I went for 6 visits and it didnt do anything for me, pain was the same after all of the adjustments. I felt like he was just ripping me off.

I hope someone can point me to the right direction because I am running out of hope here...

My grandmother just went to an acupuncture clinic in Korea because she had pains in the back of her neck-- like the muscles in that area were cramped or something. However, after she got her acupuncture treatmean, in the next morning, she couldn't move her arm. She was trying to cook breakfast for me while I sleeping, but she couldn't even bring her right hand up to turn up the dial in the oven.

I'm really worried right now. Is this a common side effect from acupuncture treatment, or was it because it was done incorrectly? Even though my grandmother experienced fatigue and muscle pains a lot of the time in the past, this sort of this NEVER happened.

I get migraines almost 5 times a month. That is once every week. That means that I miss at least one day of school a week. Recently, I was hospitalized in Chicago at the Diamond Headache Clinic. I suffer from depression also because of the migraines. I'm on about 7 pills every day, and I have literally tried everything to rid myself of migraines. Chiropractor, acupuncture, even getting massages. I am going to be 16 in March, and I'm scared that I am missing out on all of my teenage experiences. I have a boyfriend right now of about 10 months, but I don't have time to make friends because I'm never at school, I'm never in with what's going on, and I'm always the person who they're like, "Why is she always gone? She seriously ditches a lot." My teachers don't understand either. I have a 504 plan which means I get extra time with assignments, but I just get so stressed out, which only makes me get a migraine, and THAT throws me into a deep depression. How can I get "in" with everyone when I'm never at school, and I'm never at any of the social events because I am just sick all the time? I really need help. My life is slowly falling apart. I need some options. I really need some help. I don't care if you only write a sentence or two, any opinions I'll take.

I have also considered going to a different school to get a fresh start,
but that means leaving my boyfriend and a really great counselor who helps me
get all my homework figured out and a bunch of other crap.

I go see a therapist, psychiatrist, a doctor, so don't tell me to go see any of them.

I have been on xanax for years now because of aniety and panic disorder. About a year or more ago the doctors told me I had crohns disease. I have lost over 40 pounds and I have developed a anolrectal abscess and fistula. The surgeon made an incision to drain it over a week ago but it is still filling up and drainging but not fast enough in my opinion (the draining). I am freaking out because I assume that the crohn's disease is getting worse. I am suffering from such bad anxiety because I am so worried about my health. I went online and was reading about Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Clinics. They specialize in Crohn's disease. My worry though is I could have sworn that years ago I read someplace that you can die if you take xanax with herbal medicine. I have been on the xanax for years and it will take about a year to ween off from what I was told by doctors because you have to go very slow. I know if I could get the Crohn's Disease under control it will lesson the anxiety. I am alrealy taking medication for Crohn's and the new medication they want to start me on is freaking me out. They want me on remicaid and from what I read about it I am so scared to take it. I read about one lady who ended up in ICU from it. It has a rat protein in it and from what I read everyone has some kind of reaction to it so when they give it to you (it's goes in a IV through your vein) they have to give you benedryl before starting it and monitor your vital signs. There is so many bad things I had read about it that I am so scared. I believe my other option is 6MP but I havent read anything good about that either. So this is why I want to try the Acupuncture. Can someone give me any advise on remecaid or acupuncture. The Acupuncture clinic says they specialize in crohn's disease and you will feel better after 10 sessions. I am just so torn because I really don't have the money for the Acupuncture but am to scared to take remecaid or 6MP. I dont have pain in my stomach that people decribe with crohn's but always loose stool and now the rectal abscess and fistula. Can someone please help!!!!!

I'm interning for a non-profit organization and I was asked to do a little research. They are expanding to involve a clinic/integrated wellness center. They will be doing acupuncture with the patients now.

I know there are certain things you must be aware of like blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials. That's a given.

But what I want to know if the wellness center will have to abide by OSHA regulations and/or another organization. If another organization then who? (Also, the wellness center is located in the New York area)
