I going to a certified acupuncturist soon (hopefully this week) and I am wondering what to expect or what are your thoughts. I am going specifically for fertility benefits.

A little background info- Hubby and I have been trying for a baby for 2.5 years now. We are seeing an RE (specialist) and are on a little break as our next step in InVitro Fertilization (IVF) in the spring. We were technically diagnosed with unexplained infertility in March 2008. No real issues with either of us other than the fact it is not happening. We have tried a lot of things up until this time. Everything from trying not to try to charting to ovulation prediction kits to Clomid to ovulation induction through daily injections of Gonal F, etc.

So we thought acupuncture is worth a shot during our downtime. Our RE really recommends it to all his patients and especially those faced with IVF.

How do people learn things like the acupuncture (Ming dynasty 13th hundreds?)work? No obvious immediate effects, yet they came up with the most elaborate charts? Or herbal medicine- something that tastes revolting, probably containing toxins maybe in a long run good for some organ? Try and error method doesn`t seem to explain it that easily. Any theories?
With all due respect, but homeopathy- really?! Diluting a substance more than one drop in 5 oceans and believing it to be more than a placebo effect? I dunno- I`m all for the alternative, but this I don`t get

My usual cycle is 30 days, previously I had irregular periods and this cycle, I am undergoing acupuncture and taking chinese herbs. I am not sure if it is because of the herbs or what that I am running late i.e 3 days past my expected period date and I am extremely anxious to know if I am pregnant or not.
I am charting my BBT and the temperature has been above the cover line 14 days and only 2 days it has dipped a little...I have no strength to take a negative on the HPT...please pray for me.. We have been trying for a baby since 12 years now. My last monthly period was 5th July 07....

explain to me what does this mean:
I went online and got this for myself "Your sun sign is Gemini. This is the sign in which the Sun is in your birth chart. Your Ascendant is in Leo, and your Moon is in Gemini."

I am intrigued and I want to learn why so many people REALLY believe in horoscopes and astral charts (is that the name), even a great doctor specialized in acupuncture I met in my past.

Okay I was diagnosed with PCOS, I am trying to conceive without the fertility treatments. I am 21 and experimenting to see if I am ovulating before trying acupuncture or metaformin. I was charting my temperatures, but my thermometer broke I am charting my vaginal secretion and checking my cervix. The 1st day of my last period was 4/26/07 and I am all ready having symptoms of ovulation like egg white vaginal fluid and my cervix is high and somewhat open. I am also having lower abdomenal sharp discomfort. My question is this, can I have all the symptons and not ovulate? Also is it possible to ovulate early? I appreciate any comments on this matter. I have an acupuncture pen that emits an electrical pulse to acupuncture points, but I need to know which points would help with ADD, intellegence, and depression. A chart would be helpful. Thanks!

I was wondering if someone would be able to provide me a list of the all the Muscular Meridian points or if someone could Provide me with the 12 Muscular meridian charts.

I bought a Haci Magnetic Suction Cup acupuncture set, but i have no instructions, or charts to show me how, where, or for what to use it!!! please help , I have googled it 1,000 time it seems ..and no luck. any help would be great!!! thanks
