    4) School nurses do not typically teach CPR classes. This is normally left to local Fire Department or Red Cross employees, although nurses are trained they are not always certified instructors.

    5) Heath Departments do not provide care, they regulate health and safety. Providing care at accidents is left to First Responders, EMTs and Paramedics etc.

    6) If the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a treatment you can be relatively sure of its validity. This does not mean it is a miracle cure or will fix all of your problems, but it won’t just be a scam.

    7) Consumer

    9) Patients may not refuse payment. Although there are programs to accommodate those you cannot afford emergency or life saving treatment patients cannot refuse to pay if they have the mans. Patients absolutely have the right to know what treatment they are getting, the potential rewards, the potential risks/consequences, and your medical team’s credentials.

    10) Your mother having difficulty seeing the television with no obvious trauma injuries is a reason to make an appointment with your eye doctor, not the local ER

    11) Believing statements that use pseudo-medical terms can leave you very open to medical scams

15). Medical Insurance does not contribute to homelessness

    17) HIPAA

    18) Good Samaritan Act

    19) Controlled Substances Act
