In an age when numerous lifestyle-associated diseases associated with unhealthy diets, constant stress and lack of exercise leading to a variety of illnesses & complications threaten to impede quality of life and longevity, many people are turning to non-traditional forms of treatment. Most patients who undergo several acupuncture sessions say they feel much better. It's a natural way of dealing with illnesses and addressing health complaints.

As a therapeutic approach for stubborn disorders, regular treatments using electro acupuncture may be quite effective, but as with other forms of medicine, expert advice and proper usage is still needed. Extra caution has also been raised for people with special conditions like heart disease.

Aside from the patients themselves, acupuncture practitioners derive may benefits from using such modern devices for their current practice. Applying electro acupuncture generally takes a few minutes, freeing up time for the practitioner to attend to a few other important tasks. The electrical device may also offer a stronger dose of stimulation (depending on the illness cases) without possible tissue damage that may be created by traditional needle manipulation. There is greater control over frequency and amount of stimulus that must be administered vis-à-vis manual acupuncture. The downside is that the doctor or qualified practitioner administering the treatment ends up not directly taking part in the entire treatment process and not observing all changes occurring in the patient. Nonetheless, high-tech equipment available in the market nowadays come with superior tracking devices and offer instant documentation and graphical analysis. I'd love some advice on helping with my hip pain while sleeping on my sides. I wake up from the pain & change sides but I'm changing sides at least a dozen times a night, combined with the trips to the bathroom it's making for a very disrupted sleep. I'm only 24weeks pregnant & have quite a while to go so would like to find something that will help! I have acupuncture done & get massages but it's still happening. I'm wondering if anyone's had any success with the full body pillows & if so, which type/style & any suggestions when buying one would be great!

I have a sore spot on my leg and it may just be a trigger point in the muscle but I remember having acupuncture one time and that was a spot she put a needle in, was just wondering if it would be tender if there is a problem in that area it correlates to? The spot is on the lower medial aspect of my tibia. Just above my inner ankle bone.

What did you use your acupuncture treatment for?

Weightloss? (did yo actually lose weight?)

I am renting a 3 bedroom townhouse with my dog and an awesome laid-back roomate (thanks, internet!) but unfortunately the landlady is not so laid back. Upon signing my lease, I understood that my dog was allowed, and that there would be some level of privacy. I'll try to itemize this to make for a quicker read.

-She is from China, and though she speaks English much better than I could ever hope to speak Chinese, we still have a pretty hard time understanding eachother sometimes.

-Before moving in, she was told that I have a great dane. a then 90, now 110 lb dog. Somehow she got "small" out of this. She met my dog 3 weeks ago and seemed surprised at how big he was, but didn't mention any issues and even petted him and tried to get her grandson (2 yrs old) to play with him.

- She comes and goes as she pleases. She will come over as she apparently has some acupuncture clients in the area and will turn our living room into her office every couple of weekends.

-She left her acupuncture equipment out and my dane chewed on part of the head rest. Suddenly Large dogs are not allowed and he must go, my security deposit will oddly not cover the damage and I am told that I need to replace the piece out-of-pocket.

-When the headrest incident occurred, she stated that I must also pay to have the carpet cleaned as my dog has had too many accidents on it. This is where I almost lost it. Stein has never had an accident since he was 10 weeks old. Her daughter that lived there before me had 4 bichon frises. I'm pretty sure that if my dog had peed, you wouldn't be able to cover the stain with a 3x5 card. You'd need a freakin' posterboard.

-Every time she visits- she tells me that I need to be cleaning more. That she has clients here and cannot have it looking dirty. I mean- there are never dirty dishes out, I sweep daily and vaccuum weekly- but I am not paying her rent just so I can be her office maid. Not unless it cheapens my rent anyway.

I know this was really long- but I am at my wit's end and am ready to belt this woman. It has gotten to the point that I am leaving the townhouse and visiting friends or family each weekend just to avoid her b/c I know I will end up telling her off.
My lease is up in December and I am getting out of there! When I signed the lease, I had no idea that she used the place to work. I would not have signed the lease if I had known that.

The lease mentions NOTHING about her business. But it does mention my dog.

If she used the spare bedroom- I wouldn't even mind! But the fact that she uses the living room and expects me to keep it to her standards of cleanliness drives! me nuts

I got this SPA certificate that comes with all this neat stuff like massage, teeth whitening, acupuncture, haircuts and tanning for a week plus ONE mystic tan. But do I need the tanning? Well, prom is coming up and I LOVE nicole Scherzinger's skin color as well as beyonce's, ashantis..etc. I wish I could have one EVEN color on my whole body. My legs are way lighter than my arms and face. Maybe I can get my skin tone evened out.
