I recently donated blood at my High School for a blood drive. Everything went well, except that I passed-out because it was my first time donating (it was somewhat embarrassing). Today, I got my lab results back from the United Blood Services, because they always take a sample of your blood to do lab tests for blood diseases. Much to my surprise, they claim that my blood "tested false-positive for hepatitis C."
They tested my blood for 3 things: HCV antibody EIA (which I tested 'reactive,' [good I suppose]), HCV antibody RIBA (which I tested 'negative' [bad?]), and HCV NAT ('negative'). The paper reads "we do not think you have hepatitis C (HCV) and no immediate medical follow-up is needed. The anti-HCV test results represent a false-positive reaction. To confirm the absence of HCV infection, we offer to test your blood again after 6 months using a new blood sample."
I have never:
-injected any drug into my body
-snorted any drug
-had sex
-had my body pierced
-been diagnosed with chronic hemodialysis
-received acupuncture
-received clotting factors
-received and blood product or organ transplant
-cut myself intentionally
-shared hygienic products with any person
-had blood-to-blood contact with anyone that I can remember (and I'm pretty sure I'd remember something like that)
I know that me passing-out during the donation has nothing to do with this. I also know that hepatitis is spread ONLY by blood-to-blood contact. I am 18 years of age and have received vaccinations for both hepatitis A and hepatitis B. The only possible way that I can think of of having gotten this (if I do have it) is from my mom at birth, but I find that highly unlikely because I do not believe she has it. However that is still a possibility.
I have 3 questions:
1... What does all of the above mean? (I'm not a doctor [yet] so I'm completely in the dark here.)
2... How did I (possibly) get HCV?
3... Should this worry me? / Should I be worried?
UPDATE:
Ok, so I'm now absolutely positive that I did not get it from my mom, which means that the ONLY way I could have gotten this is if a "dirty" needle was used on me when I was given a shot/vaccine in the past.
The same three questions apply, plus this fourth one:
4... What's gonna happen if I test positive in 6 months?

Although I have seen three doctors and many alternative practioners, there has been no diagnosis for my malady. I've had pain in my Ischial Tuberosities region for several months that is very uncomfortable. I've taken anti-inflammatory medications as well as acupuncture, chiropractic, massage and Chinese herb treatments. I would be eternally grateful to find a practioner who can treat this chronic ailment so I can lead a more normal life that is free from this pain.

The recent system does not cover anything that I really need, it punishes people with a healthy lifestyle. Someone like me (no drugs, no smoking, little alcohol) get nothing out of the health insurance.
People using alternative medicine, as chiropractors, acupuncture, mineral and herbal supplements, basically anything but big pharmacy traditional medications and surgery, have to pay full price. This is very unfair.
Basic needs like eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids and dental should also be included.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with acupuncture as a treatment for depression and/or social anxiety/phobia? I am currently on Zoloft but I would like to stop taking medication for the condition and use a natural alternative instead.
If it helps, this isn't a one-time occurrence... I have been having major depressive episodes on and off for years now, playing with different medications to try and yield the best results.

I really want a hay fever band but would prefer to buy it at a shop rather than online.
