In the United States, what is the difference between:
a Licensed Acupuncturist,
a Certified Acupuncturist,
a Medical Acupuncturist,
and
many Chiropractors who include acupuncture in their scope of practice?
In most parts of the United States, the difference is, whether Licensed or Certified, Acupuncturists hold a graduate degree in Oriental Medicine.
Their education runs anywhere from 2500 to over 3000 didactic and clinical classroom hours focused in Oriental Medicine.
Medical Acupuncturists and Chiropractors who incorporate acupuncture into their practice as a general rule of thumb attend a 300 hour course.

I am 19 years old and last year I got sick with pnuemonia and I dont know know why. Everyone would say that it was weird that I got it because only little children and elderly people get it. I have been trying to take garlic pills to help my lungs. Sometimes I do have trouble breathing and i do breathe hard. Im scared that it can turn into asthma. What other natural medicine do you recommend?

It says that one portion is half a cup - would this be considered as a proper breakfast?
Also,
How about just a pear?

I'm looking for the title of a television movie from the nineties, about a woman who had cancer and was healed by acupuncture by an old Chinese hermit. The payment was that the husband installed a septic tank on his property. She was able to conceive after that.

am desperately needing some advice or information if someone has any on this topic. I have not had my period in 51 days. I am NOT pregnant. This has been an ongoing issue for awhile here. To make a loooong story short, I underwent some serious stress about 4 years ago and my body just cannot seem to rebound. I have been to naturopathic doctors, medical doctors, chinese herbalists, acupuncture (which actually really helped but I can't afford to go every week), and of course a few years with self study and spending who knows how much money on herbs or whatnot. I do not want to put a "band aid" on this and just take birth control (which actually didn't seem to help). I was told the closest thing that I come close to as far as "diagnosis"is PCOS, but they say it's not really PCOS (????). I do not have insulin resistance, I'm not overweight, I do not have a bunch of hair growing, etc. The only symptoms I have is waiting way over the "normal" 28 days for my period, and I break out. My hormone tests show that my DHEA is way high which of course in turn has made my testosterone high as well which is why I break out. HELP! No doctors or practitioners have a CLUE of what to do for me!!! ANY help would be appreciated.
I'm not sure how to answer to all of your suggestions at the bottom so it's going here.
Thanks for your answers. I have done a dozen fasts, in fact I'm pretty proficient in them. I've done colonics with them as well.
That acupuncture school idea is great but I live in a smaller town and I don't have any in my state.
I'm not taking anything right now. BC pills or natural remedies.
The acai berry is an antioxident and I think is one of the very few herbs that I haven't taken yet, so I can try that. I have researched white peony as well and that might help. But I have tried SOOOO many things and spent so much money and nothing has helped. It becomes depressing and I feel like I want to give up but these symptoms are untolerable sometimes. This is NOT normal. I know my body and this has been going on for WAY too long. I've been in tears many times because of it.
