The empires of Han and Gupta have many intellectual differences. The Han dynasty had physicians who developed acupuncture to relieve the pain and treat illnesses. Gupta also used medicine but instead using acupuncture, they used herbal remedies. Han’s are consisted of landscape and portrait paintings while Gupta’s art is associated with Indian religion and philosophy; it’s hard to appreciate it fully unless you have knowledge of an Indian mind. The founder of Gupta was Chandragupta who emphasized Hinduism. Chandragupta expanded the empire and strengthened the kingdom by marrying Kumaradevi, the daughter of the king of Licchavis. Lyu Bang, the founder of Han was non hereditary. He picked able bureaucrats and unlike Gupta, emphasized Confucianism. Arose after Alexander the Great, the Gupta Empire, under Chandragupta, showed the belief of needing to be strong in the face of an outside attack. The Han did not. The Han dynasty was run by police, meaning that people inform the police of peculiar actions of citizens. Gupta lived in fear of assassination. The Han dynasty had many creations. They invented the process to make paper from wood pulp, invented paper, porcelain and the loom. Gupta created the writing system which was later adopted by the Islam Empire (known as Arabic Numerals). Gupta also created the numbers one through nine and the concept of zero. Gupta, from their commercial dealings, made massive profit from their own mines and vast crow lands. The Han empire, exported more products then they were getting. Making money from the Silk Road, Han had a great supply of silk that they would export.

i have allergies and my nasal passage is swollen, i tend to sniff, have runny nose, and cannot smell... one of my nostrils always gets swollen, there rarely was any time that i was able to breathe comfortably. I have went to a few doctors and they gave me different advice... one said to get laser surgery, other said eat healthy and they put ginseng water up my nose, and the last said i had a lot of heat in my body that caused my nasal passage to swell up and stuck needles all over my face(acupuncture). i have had this problem for 5 years now... is there any way to treat my nasal passage at home without using money? surgery is not an option right now... my major is culinary but without a sense of smell I won't be getting anywhere... please help!! thank you

Wondering if anyone has done stem cell therapy for there dogs. Was it successful? Whats the procedure like? etc.... My dog has a partial acl tear and arthritis. He's 9 now, and I won't put him through that surgery. He was on deramaxx, was doing very good on it, then his liver values went up and he can't take it anymore. He will be starting at a rehab vet this week for acupuncture and laser therapy.
sisu. thank you for the answer. He is on denamarin right now. Has been for about 2 weeks. He is scheduled to have bloodwork done in another week. Was your dog able to take a drug like deramaxx, along with the denamarin to help with liver function?

Husband's 32, me 30, TTC since 3 yrs. I've been diagnosed with a very low ovarian reserve (i.e. POF= Premature Ovarian Failure) and have had fluctuating levels of FSH from 4 to 24 back to 5. With 2 unsuccessful IUIs and 1 IVF where after all the highest injections possible, they just retrieved 1 egg that never fertilized, I'm thinking of trying New Hope Fertility Center. The doc there has suggested a very different route to me so I'm wondering if he's the right one for me? I have read they specialize in cases with high FSH. All other doctors preach the Donor story which I'm not ready for. I've regular 27 - 30 day clycle, never missed one, why shouldn't I try more? I've insurance but will pay quite a bit extra out of pocket if I go with NHFC compared to if I go to CWRC i.e. Columbia but I am willing to spend all of that if it can give me the results I'm looking for. I'm already blowing up my money on acupuncture, organic stuff (food, cosmetics, cleaning stuff etc etc) and yoga! But if NHFC is good, I'll take the plunge.

I got my best friend my dog from a local shelter. She came to me with illness and I have tried with her to battle them for a year. Her bone infections cause deformities and pain, while her skin infections cause bleeding lines like whip lashes. Needless to say, movement is painful and even my hand to gently stroke her causes her to tense up. She can have brief periods where her infections seem to be on the mend. For this time, 2 weeks if we're lucky, she enjoys life. Then they come back in full force. I have tried everything even alternative medicine like acupuncture and laser treatments. Twice now I have been forced to acknowledge euthanasia and my eyes fill with tears.
So I think about how she was conceived. I guess someone who had a dog wanted to see cute puppies. Wanted their dog to experience motherhood. Wanted to make a little extra money the "easy way." And in doing so passed on this auto immune disease to my dog. I imagine the person never considered the puppies future as anything but how healthy their own dog looked on the outside. How cute she looked. Tail wags, nose is cold, and tongue kisses so that is a great dog to breed?
When I imagine how my dog was conceived, I imagine that person never considered that I would be eating canned sardines nightly for dinner to save enough money for the thousands I spend a week on my dog. Or that someone would love this dog who came into her life at the right time and saved her life, now only for her to watch her dog die, not able to return the favor no matter what she does. My dog's genes are against her. Her body attacks itself.
If you are considering breeding your dog do you think about this?
Thanks for allowing me to "ask" this.
By the way, she is 4 years old.
She has been seen by 8 vets if you want to include the emergency one. They are the best I could find around here. Vets do not vaccinate sick dogs. And she eats a raw food diet, but we have also tried homecooked. Her meat is organic and free ranged. Last I heard, Peta was against all breeding, not just breeding without genetic health tests so no I am not a member of peta.

Okay. I don't know if you've all seen the trailers for FD5. But if you have, then you probably know that two of the characters are definitely going to die: Isaac Turner and Candice Caldera.
During one of the trailers, you can hear one of the female characters saying "Who dies at a massage parlor?", or something to that effect. As we all know, Isaac gets acupuncture in the movie and falls off the table with the needles still in him. So obviously, he dies from either the needles or the fire that starts for whatever reason.
As for Candice, one of the trailers shows her up in the air with powder all over the place. She's also falling to the floor head first. And now, a picture's shown up online that shows Candice's body bent in half. In other words, she somehow got sent flying and broke her spine on the landing.
One more thing I'd like to add. Olivia apparently has two death scene in the movie. She falls out a window and lands on a car, and has laser eye surgery where the laser exceeds its limit dramatically. However, a person can only die once. So basically, she survives one of these accidents, but it's safe to assume that she doesn't survive the other.
Way to go, FD5! You let us know two of the characters died before the movie was even in theaters. Am I the only one that thinks FD5 screwed up doing that? Who else will find Isaac and Candice's death scenes less interesting?

I have an extreme fear of vomiting even though I know its irrational. It got extremely worse a year and a half ago. I get extreme anxiety and panic attacks just thinking about it. I worry about it so often that I actually will create nausea, which then makes me freak out. 6 months ago I started Zoloft which helped the fear some, I'm not depressed and never have been. I've never had a bad experience when throwing up and I can count on 1 hand how many times I've thrown up in 30 years. It creates so much fear and anxiety that I can't sleep, it is worse at night (the fear is). I read online about acupuncture but want to know if anyone has used this method for a phobia and if it worked. This is taking over my life and I just want to be normal again. Any suggestions, or do you have the same fear?

I am 13 years old and I suffer from migraines. I get 3-5 a week. I have been getting migraines since I was five. I even went to the hospital once. I have a neurologist, but he isn't helping. Advil and all other pain relievers do not work for me
taking naps, hot showers and baths, listening to calming music and getting a massage, putting a cold towel or patch on my head don't work either. I tried meditation, Accupuncture, biofeedback, and everything else but my headaches just continue. Will I suffer from these forever? Is there any hope I will get better? They rule my whole life! And I am only 13! Please help
